Sara Cornish Clewis of Levelland, formally of Sundown passed from this life on September 29, 2023. Memorial Services were held Friday October 6, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton, Tx. Officiating was Pastor Lou Balenton. Internment was at the Morton Cemetery in Morton.
Services were under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland. Visitations were held Thursday, October 5, 2023. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland. Prayer service was conducted by James Jones at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home chapel.
Sara Cornish Clewies was born to Johnny and Josephine Cornish on July 24, 1961 in Muleshoe. Sara was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Henry David Clewies, on October 18, 2009, in Morton and they shared two children from this union. Sarah, worked for Levelland Development Center for several years and Lynwood Manor Nursing Home as Medicine Medical Aid for over 20 years. Her hobbies were listening to R&B, Gospal, and Country Music, watching Hall Mark movies, going shopping, family gatherings and taking care of her granddaughter Aayliah Ar-mani Cornish. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Sara was proceeded in death by parents Johnny and Josephine Cornish and sister Johnnie Mae Cornish.
Survivors were her spouse of 14 years, Henry David Clewies of Levelland, daughter Tifffany Jo Cornish of Levelland, son Tony Ray Cornish of Levelland, brother James Pouryon (Nelda Joyce) Cornish Sr. Of Morton, Grandaughter Aayliah Ar-mani Cornish of Levelland, and a host of Nephews and Nieces.
