ANITA REYNA Funeral Services for Anita Reyna, 61, of Lubbock formally of Levelland passed away from this life on November 8, 2023 in Lubbock.
Officiating is Pastor Ted Wilson. Music will be by Johnny Vasquez. Service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1 p.m., at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland. Reflections of Life Visitation and Viewing will be held on Wednesday Nov. 15, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday Nov. 16, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel.
Family will receive family and friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday evening at the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be held City of Whitharral Cemetery in Whitharral. Pallbearers are: Carlos Sanchez, Nathan Reyna, Aaron Reyna, Jessica Carmona, Cornelio Gonzales Reyna Jr.,Adam Adame and Joseph Cardenas.
Anita Reyna was born to Santa Cruz and Acencion Reyna on October 27, 1962 in Levelland. Reyna attended school in Levelland during her younger years.
God blessed Anita with five daughters. She worked as dietitian in the kitchen for Whisperwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lubbock for a couple of years.
Her hobbies were crafts, baking a variety of breads, cakes, reading, studying the bible, annoying her children, watching her favorite team, the Texas Rangers win the World Series, her favorite color red, attending The Episcopal Church in Post, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, going walking, doing cross word puzzles, traveling to Hobbs, N.M. playing at the Casinos and spending time with all of her family, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by: Parents Santa Cruz and Acencion Reyna. Sister: Eva Margarita Reyna.
Survivors: Daughter: Veronica Reyna of Littlefield, and Joyce (Chrystal) Reyna, Emilia Gonzales, Danielle Gonzales, and Margarita Gonzales all four of Lubbock, Texas. Grandchildren: Jerry Gonzales, EVA Price, Daisey Gonzales, Kianna Mcquirter, Aaron Reyna, and Aryana Reyna. Great Grand Children: Oliver Fipes, Amiyah Price and Anica Price. Sisters: Isabel Vargas of Whiteface, Adelita Reyna of Lubbock, and Janie Salazar, Magdalena Reyna and Maria Cardenas all three of Levelland. Brother: Rogelio Reyna of W hitharral, Jose Reyna and Abel both of Lubbock, Cornelio Reyna of Ropes, Cruz (Neecy) Reyna of Whiteface.
