Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland.
Officiating was done by Rev. Jonathan Phillips. Music was done by Johnny Vasquez. Interment was held at the City of Levelland Cemetery, under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home and staff of Levelland.
Rosary services were held on Tuesday Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel. Visitations and Reflections of Life were held Monday, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec, 19 , from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Church pallbearers were: Guadalupe Jasso, Ruben Tijerina Jr., Michael Reyna, Eric Torres, Silvester Tijerina and Victor Reyna. Graveside pallbearers were: Guadalupe Jasso, Ruben Tijerina Jr., Steven Garcia, Gilbert Garcia, John Paul Mares and Christopher Tijerina. Honorary pallbearers were Rudy Lee Jasso Gilberto passed from this life on December 16, in Levelland.
Gilberto was born to Cesario and Maria Alaniz Tijerina on June 11, 1931 in Charlotte, Texas Gilberto A. Tijerina, married Andrea Reyes, on August 31, 1955 in Charlotte and they were blessed with five children from this union. He worked as a farmer for Ed Reynolds of Pettit.
He owned and operated Tijerina Farmers for several years in Pettit with his two sons.
His hobbies were auto mechanics, deer hunting in South Texas, having parties, cooking

He was a loving family man with good morals, he liked playing pool with his sons at the Tip Top Pool Hall. He was a long time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland.
