Alicia Torrez of Levelland formally of Meadow, 86, passed from this life on February 26, in Levelland.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, Thursday, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday, March 1, from 9 a.m. until 9p.m. at the Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland. A Rosary will be held on Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland. Officiating will be Deacon Frankie Ruiz. Music will be by Joe Flores. Interment will be in the City of Meadow Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Isaac Torrez, Guy Smith, Anthony Torrez, Armando Torrez, Landon Orosco, Jacob Orosco, Lucas Torrez and Jacob Torrez.
She was born to Maria De La Carmen Torres on November 4, 1937 in Nuevo Leon Guanajuato, Mexico.
Alicia Torres, attended school in Nevo Leon, Mexico. She married Anastacio Torrez on September 11, 1958 in Nuevo Leon Guanajuato, Mexico.
Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, with women’s organization La’s Guadalupanas and enjoyed spending time with all grandchildren and family. She also liked listening to Spanish music, watching her novellas and Walker Texas Ranger, cooking, and worked farm labor and agriculture with her spouse.
She had a big heart and was loving, caring, and gave gifts to all of her family and friends with a smile. She enjoyed sharing beautiful stories with all her friends. She was a long time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Brownfield and St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland. Alicia shall be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was Proceeded in death by: Mother: Maria De La Carmen Torres Husband: Anastacio Torrez Sons: Guadalupe Cornelio Torrez, Raul Juaqine Torrez and Reynaldo Torrez Daughters: Marta Maria Torrez and Virgina Maria De Ludres Torrez Sisters: Andrea Torres and Francisca Gomez.
Her survivors are: sons: Juan Carlos Torrez of El Paso, Martin Robert Torrez and Anastacio Jose Torrez both of Levelland, Juan Pablo Torrez of Midland. Daughters: Anna Maria Torrez Aguire and Maria Teresa Caballero both of Austin. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grand children.
Services will be under the care of Head Duarte Funeral Home and Staff of Levelland.
