The Levelland Track and Field team competed at the LCU Invitational last Friday where they represented the school well.
Mia Morin finished the 800 Meter Run in third place while Saul Hernandez finished in third place in the 800 meter run as well as second place in the 1600 meter run.
Levelland Boys won the 4x100 Meter Relay with a 44.60 time, while the girls finished in third place. Both the girls and boys finished in second place in the 1600 meter run.
Ashleigh Barron placed in fourth place in the girls 100 Meter Hurdles and sixth in the 300 Meter Hurdles as well.
Evelyn Mendias placed first place in the Girls 3200 Meter Run and finished in second place in the 1600 Meter Run, while fellow Loboette Emily Ramirez finished in third place in the 1600 Meter Run.
Whitney Williams finished ninth in the Girls 100 Meter Dash and eight in the 200 Meter Dash as well. Brittany Rosales finisheed in 10th in the girls 200 Meter Dash as well. Zanity Sanchez finished in 12th in the Girls 100 Meter Dash and in fourth in the 200 Meter Dash.
In the Boys 100 Meter Dash it was Ben Alvarado that took first place, Francisco Banda in third and Ricky Rodriguez in fifth. In the Boys 200 Meter Dash Ezekial Arias grabbed second place, Banda took third and Isaiah Avendano took sixth.
Heaven Morin took second in the Girls 400 Meter Dash while Emily Perez would take seventh in the same event.
For the Boys 400 Meter Dash Gage Potter took fifth place while Gage French took seventh place. For the field events it was Alanis Valderas that was placed seventh in Shotput along with Amy Cervantes that would place ninth place. On the boys sides of things for Shotput it would be Austin Ellis that would take second while teammate Zarian Valderez that would take third.
For the Discus events on the girls sides it would be Olivia Velardez that took first place and Keyleigh Barron would took third. For the boys it would be Caleb Miller that would finish fourth in Discus.
Emily Perez finished in first place in the Triple Jump while she took seventh in the Long Jump as well. On the boys side it would be Eli Randol who would win the Boy’s Pole Vault and Saul Hernandez would finish in fourth place.
The team competed in their competition this past Thursday in Lamesa for their final one before their spring break.
