Mrs. Teresa Guajardo Andrews, 59 of Gatesville formerly of Lubbock peacefully transitioned to be with our Lord in Heaven on March 29 in Temple. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Phillip Music will be by Joe Flores. Interment will be in the City of Levelland Cemetery of Levelland. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitations and reflections of life will be held Wednesday April 10, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home chapel. Rosary will be held on Wednesday April 10, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Teresa was born to Alcadio Jr. and Oralia Barrera Guajardo on January 19, 1965 in Lubbock.
A proud graduate of Levelland High School, she furthered her education at South Plains College, earning her associate degree in business management and accounting. Teresa dedicated several years to NTS in the accounts payable department in Lubbock where she met her beloved husband Gene. They exchanged vows on February 10, 2018 in Lubbock. Teresa’s passions included crocheting, indulging in the culinary delights showcased on the cooking channel and Master Chef, crafting delicious tacos for her family, sewing, watching romantic comedies, caring for her dogs Reyme and Luka, playing card games with her grandchildren, and exploring antique treasures.
She was a cherished lifetime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. She was preceded in death by parents: Alcadio Jr. and Oralia Barrera Guajardo, two brothers: Alcadio Guajardo III and Timothy Guajardo. Survivors are: spouse of six years Gene Andrews of Lincoln, Nebraska, daughters Elisa Tienda (Tim Patridge) of Wolfforth, Stephanie (Bryan) Rodriquez of Lubbock, Adrienne Andrews of Lincoln, sisters Olivia (Scott) Jenkins of Wolfforth, Maria Lupe Guajardo of Gatesville, and Elizabeth Guajardo of Bryan, brothers Gilbert Guajardo of Gatesville, and Albert Guajardo of San Diego, California, nine grandchildren, Elijah Tienda, Bo Tienda, Jory Tienda, Jaymes Tienda, Jasper Patridge, Kennedy Rodriquez, Sylas Rodriquez, Nova Rodriquez, Memphis Rodriquez.
