Ms. Rayla Cobbs, 52 of Lubbock formerly of Morton passed from this life on April 29, in Lubbock.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 1 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland. Officiating will be Superintendent Johnnie Evans Sr. Music will be by Evans Chapel COGIC choir. Interment will be at the Morton Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Dwayne Brown, Eric Hightower, Derrick Lewis, Garion Moore, Greg Joyce and Coby Chambers. Honorary Pallbearers are: Tyrone Cobbs, Jalyn Brown, Cortlyn Brown and Benjamin Henry.
Reflections of life and visitations will be held Thursday, May 9, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Rayla was born to Ray Cobbs and Louise Henry Cobbs on March 18, 1972 of Morton .
Rayla, was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Morton High School and continued her education at South Plains College in Levelland. She worked for AT&T for several years as a customer service representative. Her hobbies were watching TV shows, attending Evans Chapel COGIC in Morton, playing cell phone games, interior decorating her home, cooking along with visiting and spending quality time with her family members especially during special occasions.
She is preceded in death by: parents Ray Cobbs and Louise Henry Cobbs brother Charles Henry She is survived by daughters Xandrea Pierce of Plainview and Zavrhi Cobbs of Lubbock. Grandchildren: Zamyah Williams, Calvin Cobbs, Bryce Cobbs, Xa’Calynnd Cobbs sisters: Carolyn Ross of Lubbock and Carolette Brown of Arlington nieces and nephews that are very dear to her heart.
