The South Plains College Board of Regents will be holding a regular meeting Thursday, August 15, beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the regents meeting room.
Agenda items slated for the meeting include: Public comment; Approval of minutes; Keep Texas Beautiful Recognition; Resolution Honoring 20232024 Track and Field;
The vice president for academic affairs will present House Bill 8 Student Success Metrics at SPC; The vice president for student affairs will present the 2023-2024 Quarter 3 (March-May) Reported Violations of Policy FH, Summer II 2024 Enrollment Report; Fall 2024 Enrollment Update and Fall 2024 Housing Occupancy Update; The vice president for business affairs will present the Tax Office Report, Financial Report and will hold a discussion to consider transferring funds to capital improvements; The vice president for institutional advancement will include the director of development giving a Scholarship Scramble Update; The President’s Report will include a discussion of the proposed 2024-2025 Budget, establish a proposed 2024-2025 Tax Rate, schedule upcoming tax hearings, provide a construction update, approval of property insurance proposal, consideration of SPC Natatorium remodel and consideration of SPC Track Renovation and Resurfacing; and Adjourn
