The Hockley County Elections Office is reminding all residents that the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming November 2024 general election is fast approaching.
The last day to register is Monday, October 7.
To register, residents can visit the Hockley County Elections Office at 911 Austin St. in Levelland or go online to the Texas Secretary of State’s website at www.votetexas.gov for more information and to download a voter registration form. Completed forms must be postmarked by October 6.
The Hockley County Elections Office will have a special Voter Registration drive on Saturday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Election Office. To avoid issues on Election Day, make sure to update your voter registration information if you have recently moved or changed names.
“We encourage all eligible residents to check their registrations before the deadline,” said Jody Rose, County Elections Administrator. “Planning now will help make casting your ballot easy and efficient.”
