The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will be holding a regular meeting Monday, October 21, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse.
Agenda items slated for the meeting include: Read for approval the minutes for the regular meeting held on October 7; Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the Court dated through October 21; Consider and take necessary action to accept grant funds from Occidental Petroleum in the amount of $15,000 to purchase body-worn cameras for use by the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office; Consider and take necessary action to approve the Hockley County Treasurer’s 2024 3rd Quarter Financial Report; Discussion and take potential action concerning the appointment of a temporary or permanent designated representative for septic inspections within unincorporated areas of Hockley County; Discuss and take potential action to approve the Advance Funding Agreement for Local Government Maintenance of Pavement Markings and Signs (Off-System); and approval of Resolution 2024-4, if approved; Consider and take necessary action to approve the 2025 Hockley County Resolution Indigent Defense Grant Program Resolution 2024-5; and Consider and take necessary action to approve the monthly reports due as per 114.044 Local Government Code as submitted by the Hockley County District Clerk Hockley County Clerk, Hockley County Auditor and Justice of the Peace Precincts 1, 2, 4 and 5.
