And I will set your borders from the Red Sea, to the sea of the Philistines and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give you the inhabitants of the land and you shall drive them out before you. Exodus 23:31
When God gave the Children of Israel the Promise Land, He made it very clear what land was theirs and what borders they were to respect and defend. Not only did God tell them what land He was giving them, He expected them to protect it and to even build fortified cities for them to live safely in. Numbers 32:17 “But we will take up arms, ready to go to before the people of Israel, until we have brought them to their place. And our little ones shall live in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land. Healthy borders and fortified cities in the Bible were not just important when they were at war and inhabiting the land, it was also necessary in times of peace, to protect the sovereignty of the country. Under King Asa, the Bible tells us, “He built fortified cities in Judah for the land had rest. He had no war in those days, for the Lord gave them rest.” 2 Chronicles 14:6. When the Children of Israel returned from Exile in Babylon, God instructed Ezra to rebuild the temple and He commissioned Nehemiah to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem. I think it is interesting that their enemies did not harass them when they built the temple, but when they began to build the wall around Jerusalem, Sanballat showed up to hurl insults and even tried to become physical with the borders. Nehemiah told the people to hold a weapon in one hand and to continue building the wall with the other hand. One of the biggest threats to the United States of America, our Republic and our freedoms are open borders. Because God never changes, we know that if God set borders around Israel, He has borders set around the United States of America. I find it very interesting how many Christians try to justify the open borders using scriptures about taking care of the poor among you and that Israel was instructed to be kind to the stranger among. God was very clear that He did not want the Israelites to embrace the cultures of the people who lived around their promise land, because it would turn their hearts away from God and they would fall into worshipping foreign gods. We have seen the lack of boundaries affect even our House of Representatives and the Senate. Traditionally the Chaplain of each chamber opens the day in prayer, and now they invite guests to open the day in prayer. There are no guidelines on who can be invited to open in prayer, and now Muslim and Hindu Priests are given the platform to pray over our beloved United States of America. In 2016, a case went to the Supreme Court trying to make our government allow an atheist, someone who does not even believe there is a higher power, to pray over our nation. I believe this is one of the major reasons God set clear borders, so the foreigners would not come into the land and change the beliefs and standards God has set.
Secure Borders are one of the most important issues to think about as you are deciding which platform you are going to vote for in the 2024 Presidential election. We are not trying to decide which candidate has the most joy or what party a person traditionally votes for, or even for who says things that hurt our feelings. Our nation is at stake and people must understand the gravity of the situation and fight by praying and voting this year. We are voting for the very life of our country as we know it. Most Americans believe in immigration if it is done according to the laws and are borders are kept secure. I was very impressed in how the Senate nominee from Virginia, Cao a Vietnam refuge, answered the question of immigration. “When Vietnam fell, we had nowhere to go, and America brought us in and my parents waited seven years. We all did for seven years to get our citizenship. The last thing that my dad had hung over his bed as he passed away two years ago was his naturalization certificate. I love this country so much that I wrote a blank check up to including my life to defend it for 25 years in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and other parts of the world. Here’s the thing to anybody who wants to come here, don’t ask for an American dream, if you are not willing to be American and embrace the American culture because I did.” (I would add personally, we are one nation under God. If you are not willing to worship our God, don’t bring your false gods and expect us to “bow to your religion”.) Over the last eight years we have experienced two very different platforms and policies implemented by the two candidates running for President this year. Even without the support of either the House or Senate, Donald Trump almost had the border wall completed and the lowest rate of illegals coming into our country for decades. The other nominee served as Border Czar to the current administration on the first day in office signed an Executive Order to stop the building of the border wall. As Texas fought for national security and put up razor wire fences to keep the illegals from entering our country, Biden and Harris, the Border Czar sued the state of Texas to try and make them take down the razor wire. Under their leadership, FEMA has given the majority of their funds to the illegals crossing the border, along with unlimited transportation, housing (unlimited housing in the best hotels on the tax payer dime), cell phones, health care, and now are even proposing the American Tax payer will also pay for them to have sex changes. The border whistle blowers released the following statistics several weeks ago, “We know, over 13,000 convicted murderers and 16,000convicted rapists have been allowed into our country unvetted.” If you want to live in a safe nation with secure borders you must get out and vote for the platform that supports legal immigration and closed borders. This year encourage ten people to go and vote that do not regularly vote and share with them that our security is at stake.
Sadly, statistics tells us that around one third of the people who claim to be an Evangelical Christian did not vote in the 2020 election and will probably not vote in this election either. I wonder how many people who refuse to do their civic duty are even praying like Jesus said to Pray, “Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Jesus taught us the importance of praying for God’s kingdom to come and too many Christians have bought into the deception that everything will be like God wants it whether we pray of not, because God is sovereign. Thank God the Ecclesia, the remnant of the Body of Christ, have prayed earnestly for God to intervene and save our nation. Here are two scriptures to declare and decree (pray) of the United States of America; Isaiah 60:18 “And violence shall be no more be heard in your land, devastation and destruction within your borders, you shall call you walls Salvation and your gates Praise.” Psalm 147:13-14 “For he strengthens the bars of your gates; He blesses your children within you. He makes peace at your borders; he fills you with the finest of the wheat.” What would happen in our nation and around the world, if all the Christians would stand for Biblical truth?
While we are talking about secure borders, Christians need to look at the borders they have set around their families and homes. Halloween is this week, and it is disheartening how many Christians participate in the occult one night a year. Sadly, many people who love God will decorate their home and yards to celebrate darkness and death. Too many believers think that Halloween is harmless and celebrate it just like the world does. Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan said, “I’m glad Christians let their kids worship the Devil at least one night of the year.” When you research the traditions associated with Halloween, the day of the dead. Halloween, the Day of the Dead and the souls of the dead would become available. The bible clearly teaches against trying to communicate with the dead. Leviticus 19:31 “Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits, do not seek them to be defiled by them, I am the Lord your God.” We are not even supposed to do Tarot Cards, palm reading, Ouija boards, horoscopes. Isaiah 8:19 “And when they say to you, seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter, “Should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead-on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony, if they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” 2 Corinthians 6:14 poses a great question, “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” Too many people have been deceived into believing Halloween is harmless and open a door for witchcraft and rebellion in their home and then they wonder why they are having trouble with their children and teens. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 instructs us “Abstain from every form of evil.” Set some borders and boundaries around your home and ask God to identify the books, movies, games, and celebrations that have seemed innocent and remove them. Build a spiritual wall of blessings around your children. God spoke through Moses in Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you today, that I have set before you both life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.”
Will you stand with in prayer and claim God’s will over our borders, both on a national level and as families? Will you go even further and vote your core Christian values in the 2024 election? Will you encourage ten other people to vote their Christian values in this election as we stand in the gap and pray for our nation? Do you have the courage to fortify our families and not allow the enemy inside your home and children? We serve a great big God and nothing is impossible if we believe and obey. The Children of Israel wondered in the desert for forty years because of their unwillingness to obey God and to take the land even though God gave them the land.
