The Levelland Fire Department responded to a call from the police department about a resident smelling gas near the 1800 block of North US Highway 385. The fire units investigated and there were no alerts or gas present. The units cleared the scene.
11/2/24 – DISPATCHED 11:45 A.M. – CLEARED 1:30 P.M. – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to a possible tank battery fire near FM 1294 and North Barton Lane. The units made contact with the oil company representative and found a small fire on top of the oil storage tank being fueled by the tank gas, as the hatch had blown open. The units knocked down the fire and continued to cool the tank with water. After the fire was extinguished, the units checked for more fire and closed the hatch on the tank before clearing the scene.
11/2/24 – DISPATCHED 6:09 A.M. – CLEARED 6:45 A.M. – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to a one-car rollover near Kelly Road and West Houston Street. Everyone was out of the vehicle and a patient had been moved to the hospital upon arrival. The scene was released to the sheriff’s department and all units cleared the scene.

The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to a wreck near West State Highway 114 and South Opdyke Gin Road. Everyone was out of the vehicles and being treated upon arrival. The units helped with traffic control and scene lighting before clearing the scene.

The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to an unknown fire near West State Highway 114 and West Avenue. The units found and extinguished a small, smoldering scrap pile before returning to the station.

The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to a gas smell near Cactus Drive. The units discovered it was coming from a pumpjack and advised a representative. The units cleared the scene.

The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to a car and semi crash near County Road and East State Highway 114. The units helped EMS move a patient still in a vehicle. After the patient was moved and the scene was deemed safe, the units cleared the scene.
