The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will be holding a regular meeting Monday, November 18, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom.
Agenda items set for the meeting include: Read for approval the minutes for the special meeting held November 12; Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the Court dated through November 18;
Consider and take necessary action to permanently alter Chickadee Road starting North of FM 1585 for approximately 8/10 of 1 mile making that portion of Chickadee Road a private road to be maintained by United Cotton Growers; Discussion and potential action to approve use of additional American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for capital case expenses; Consider and take necessary action to approve the monthly reports due as per 114.044 Local Government Code as submitted by the Hockley County District Clerk, Hockley County Clerk, Hockley County Auditor and Justice of the Peace Precincts 1, 2, 4 and 5; and Consider and take necessary action to canvass the returns from the November 5, 2024 General Election and hear update from the elections administrator.
