Traffic changes are coming to US 385 in Levelland next week as the Texas Department of Transportation continues to make improvements to the roadway.
Crews will finish the week, by placing the first course of asphalt on the roadway, from McDonalds to the southern end of the project limits.
On Monday, Nov. 25, crews will re-stripe the roadway and open all lanes to traffic to the entire length of the project.
Work on the project will then be suspended until spring 2025, when crews will return in April 2025 to make repairs to US 385 segment from McDonalds north to the railroad crossing. Once road repairs have been made, the final road surface along the entire project will be place.
The project is making roadway improvements to more than 3.8 miles of US 385 in the city of Levelland. The anticipated completion date is summer 2025.
