The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to wreck involving an 18-wheeler and a car. Mutual aid was given with the Whiteface Fire Department. The crew arrived and provided a 360 of the semi-truck, which was overturned. The units provided traffic control and were released from the scene.
11/24/24 – 10:41 A.M.
The Levelland Fire Department received call about a potential gas leak at a local church. The units checked the building with a multi-gas monitor and saw no indications of dangerous gases.
11/23/24 – 12:06 P.M.
The Levelland Fire Department responded to a call from the police department about a wreck near 114. The units assisted with traffic control before being released by Texas Highway Patrol.
11/23/24 – 3:28 A.M.
The Levelland Fire Department responded to a call about a gas smell near E. Ellis and Veretto Road. The units checked the area and no gas odor or smell was found.
11/16/24 – 1:20 P.M.
The Levelland Fire Department responded to a call about a dumpster fire behind a local business. The units found smoke coming from a trash container after a bystander used a fire extinguisher, but no damage was found on the property. The container was cooled with water.
11/13/24 – 2:35 A.M.
The Levelland Fire Department responded to a call about a transformer sparking or on fire. The units requested Xcel upon arrival and located two blown fuses on a power pole, but no sparking lines or fire. The unis cleared the scene.
11/12/24 – 10:09 A.M.
The Levelland Fire and Police Departments responded to a dispatch call about a large fire behind a residence. The fire was in a resident’s homemade fire pit. The fire units advised the resident to put out the fire due to city ordinance and the pit’s lack of parts, and they complied. The units cleared the scene.

The Levelland Fire Department responded to a call about a residential smoke alarm activation. It was determined there was no fire and low battery was the cause of the activation.
11/8/24 – 11:10 A.M.
The Levelland Fire Department received a call of an extinguished fire in an office near the 200 block of 1 Street. There were no injuries, but there was some damage done to the office and its equipment. The report stated the fire did not look intentional.
