The Levelland Fire Department responded to a dispatch about a gas smell in the area. The units checked and only found the smell of crude oil. The units cleared the scene.

The Levelland Fire Department cancelled enroute to a dispatch.

12/6/2024 – 10 block of Paxton Place

The Levelland Fire Department responded to a report of a gas smell. The units used gas monitors and nothing was detected. The units cleared the scene.

12/6/2024 – 114 and College Avenue

The Levelland Fire Department responded to a dispatch call about a fire at a Highway 114 intersection. There was only debris in the road upon arrival. The intersection was cleared and the Texas Department of Transportation was notified.

12/6/2024 – 100 block of Elm Street

The Levelland Fire Department responded to reports of a person burning in the area. A person with an unlit fire pit was found upon arrival and the fire units cleared the scene.

12/2/24

The Levelland Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in the Stripes parking lot. Upon arrival, fire was showing under the hood of the vehicle and the fire crew pulled a pre-connect from the fire truck and started extinguishing. The crew checked the vehicle for victims, but none were found. The crew popped the vehicle’s trunk for venting, and once the fire was extinguished, the crew cleared the scene.

The Levelland Fire Department responded to a dispatch about an arcing electrical box at a business. The business owner claimed an outlet on the wall arced, and the fire crew turned the circuit controlling the outlet off. The crew told the business owner she would need to contact an electrician to inspect the outlet and have the circuit turned back on. The crew then cleared the scene.
