A 35-year-old Lubbock man died from his injuries after a rollover on FM 1585, half a mile east of FM 168 in Hockley County.
A Texas DPS report states Jacob David Dorrity was traveling east on FM 1585 around 2 a.m. Sunday morning when he veered into the north side barrow ditch and continued to travel into a field, where his vehicle rolled over.
DPS says the driver was ejected from the vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, during the rollover and was pronounced dead at the scene.
