DOLORES TORRES
Ms. Dolores Smith Torres of Levelland formerly of Nixon, Tx, 62, passed away from this life January 31, 2025 in Levelland.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland.
She was born on June 15, in Nixon, Tx to Freddy Joe and Patsy Pape Smith. Dolores attended high school in Nixon, Tx during her younger years and continued her education at Cuero College in Cuero, Tx where she received her nursing certification.
She married Thomas Torres on January 1, 1991in Nixon, Tx and they shared three children from this union, Dolores moved to Levelland from Nixon on November 28, 2010.
She worked for the rehab and retirement centers in Levelland as a CNA for several years. Also for Swackhammer’s Texas Grill Restaurant, I Don’t Know Dinner and as a secretary for Worley’s Welding for several years.
Dolores liked going to the beach to Port Aransas, Texas, spending quality time with all of her family and grand babies, she enjoyed working on her yard and floral garden. Her favorite little animals she had at her home was Peacocks, rabbits and ferrets.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents Freddy Joe and Patsy Pape Smith and her brother Joey Smith.
She is survived by her companion on 29 years Thomas Torres of Levelland, Tx; her daughter, Jessica Smith(Andres Garza) of Nixon, Tx; her sons, Thomas Joe(Sabrina Ramirez) Torres of Nixon, TX and William (Angelina) Torres of Levelland. Her grand children: Arianna Torres, Mazelynn Torres, Aiden McAlsiter, Whitley Smith, Celeste, Rosalie and Maria Garza; her two great grand children. Her sisters; Pauline (Joseph) Villanueva of Nixon Tx, Lynda Agu of San Antonio, Sue (Doug) Weaver of BeBe,Tx and Brenda(Larry) Harrison of San, Marcus, Tx; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
