Celebration of life held for Daniel “Danny” Silhan

DANIEL “DANNY” SILHAN

With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we announce the passing of Daniel “Danny” Dean Silhan, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who entered eternal rest on August 26, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on March 9, 1956, to Mayree and John Silhan in Levelland Texas, Danny’s life was one of service to the land and endless laughter, leaving a mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

For 45 years, Danny dedicated himself to the land as a farmer, embodying the spirit of hard work, resilience, and the unwavering belief that “there’ s always next year,” Danny was more than just a farmer; he was a jokester, known for his delightful array of “bad dad jokes” that could brighten anyone’ s day. He embraced every moment with a smile and a mischievous twinkle in his eye, reminding us all to find joy in the simple things in life and not be so serious. His four grandchildren (Britton, Bryndel, Brooks and Maeven) knew him affectionately as a “Poppie,” a title that exemplified his warmth and loving spirit.

Danny is survived by his devoted wife, Renee Silhan, and his two cherished daughters, Elise Voss her husband Evan Voss and their three kids Britton, Bryndel and Brooks. The youngest daughter Whitney Silhan and her daughter Maeven Kenady. Brother Kevin Silhan and wife Natalie and various nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Together, they will carry on his legacy of love, laughter, and resilience.

A Celebration of Life took place on August 30, 2025, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, at 3:30 pm. Where we gathered to honor Danny’s incredible life and the joyous moments shared.
