HOWARD JENKINS
Howard Lee Jenkins, 73 of Big Spring, Texas, passed away on Dec. 26, 2025, in Big Spring, Texas.
Born on Jan. 21, 1952, in Levelland, Texas, Howard was the son of Roy Millard Jenkins and Elsie Mae Ramsey. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1973.
Following his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Texas at El Paso and went on to build a successful career in the oil field, ultimately serving as a drilling consultant before retiring.
Howard is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie Ann Jenkins; his sister, Beverly Van Horne; his brother, Ronald Jenkins; his sons, Aaron Jenkins and Tracy Jenkins; daughters, Rheanna Cundiff, Tanya Jenkins, and Crystal Markgraf; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his loving stepfather, Guy (Blackie) Worley; and his son, Forrest Jenkins.
In retirement, Howard found great joy in traveling with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching baseball. His loving, kind, and forgiving spirit was a testament of his deep faith and love for his Heavenly Father.
He is now at peace in the arms of his Savior. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 21 at Austin St. Church of Christ, located at 510 Austin St, in Levelland.
