Funeral services for Enrique “Ricky” Castro, of Levelland were held Friday, June 16,2023 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland, Father Ernesto Lopez officiated.
Enrique “Ricky” was born Maria and Lazaro Sr. Castro onMay 18, 1959 in Levelland. He graduated from Levelland high school in 1979. He worked for Quezada and Castro Masonry for over thirty years.
His hobbies included helping the elderly and senior citizens who resided in the Levelland Housing Authority apartments cut their yads, weed eating, watering their rose bushes, trimming their shrubs all while listening to music.
Rick enjoyed playing scratch offs and buying lottery tickets and he would occasionally win. His favorites places to eat were the Great Wall Buffet, Taqueria and Noemi’s . Every holiday, birthday and special occasions Rick would buy gifts for all his family members. He was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. He was a wonderful son, brother and uncle that will be greatly missed.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Maria and Lazaro Sr. Castro, three sisters Janie
Machado, Betty Castro and Sylvia Castro, three brothers Pete Castro, Robert Castro and Daniel Danny Castro.
He is survived by three sisters Victoria (Octavio) Quezada Judy Castro and Cynthia Miller (Harvey Pesqueda) brothers Frank Castro, Nick (Tammy) Castro and Lazaro Jr. (Amy) Castro all of Levelland and a host of nephews and nieces.
