Funeral services for Consuelo Catano Martinez, 83, of Plains, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, at St. Ann Catholic Church ofMorton.
Interment followed in the Morton Cemetery, under the direction of Krestridge Funeral Home of Levelland.
Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, at Krestridge Funeral Home.
She passed away December 17, 2022.
Consuelo was born June 2, 1939, to Magdaleno and Manuela Catano, in San Juan Chihuahua, Mexico.
She married Alfredo Martinez November 30, 1959, in Pep.
Consuelo was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Robert Zapata; and two sisters, Elfa Olgin and Eva Catano.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Martinez, Sr.; sons, Alfred (Sylvia) Martinez, Jr. of Plains and Max (Rynnea) Martinez of Plains; daughter, Elsie Zapata (Roy) of Morton; brothers: Ruben Catano of Odessa, Manuel Catano of Midland, Israel Catano of Amarillo, Graciel Catano of Plainview and Refugio Catano of Dimmit; sister, Norma Catano of Lakeway; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
