Funeral services held for Keith McCain

Church service for Keith McCain, age 63 , of Littlefield, Texas , was scheduled for 2:00 PM , Friday, July 11, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Littlefield with Tanner Wilson of Littlefield officiating. Burial followed in the Enochs Cemetery. Keith died Wednesday, July 9, 2025 in Lubbock, Texas He was born July 21, 1961 in Morenci, Arizona to Larry and Patsy (Burns) McCain. He married Jan Simpson in Littlefield on November 3, 1995.

Keith taught woodshop at Pep, Texas for 27 years, before teaching at Sudan High School and finally at Morton High School. His family appreciates everything that the Morton staff and his co-workers did for him. Keith enjoyed woodworking and tinkering on all things. He was affectionally known as “Pop”. He was goofy, fun and the life of the party. Keith was always able to tell a tall tale at the spur of the moment.

He was an avid fan of Texas Tech sports. Keith made a lasting impression on everyone he met, and was considered as “unforgettable” He was a man of strong faith, was full of love, and he was an amazing husband and friend. Keith was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry.

Keith is survived by his wife, Jan; his step-son, Jeremy Polk and his wife, Jenny of Rockwall, Texas; his step-daughter, Megan Johnson and her husband, Ty of Levelland, Texas; his mother, Patsy McCain of Littlefield, Texas; his two brothers, Doug McCain and his wife, Tammy of Lubbock, Texas and Dennis McCain and his wife, Debbie of Littlefield, Texas; and his five step-grandchildren, Dylan Polk, Brooklyn Polk, Grayson Polk, Haygan Johnson and Hadley Johnson.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Joe Arrington Cancer Center and Covenant Medical Center for their compassion and thoughtfulness during this difficult time.
