Maria Estela Torres Gonzalez, 76, of Levelland formerly of Ralls, TX passed from this life on December 20, 2024. A funeral service was held at 11:00 am on Sunday, December 23, 2024 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. Interment will be announced at a later date.
Maria was born on May 5, 1948 in Puente Negro Savinas, Coah, Mexico to Guadalupe and Maria De La Luz Torres. She moved to Levelland and opened her restaurant, Estela’s II. Her hobbies included cooking and spending time with her family. She had a green thumb that could grow both indoor and outdoor plants giving her a beautiful garden. Going out to eat, dancing, and gambling at casinos were some of her favorite pastimes. She was a long-time member of both St, Michale Catholic Churches in Ralls and Levelland.
She is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Maria De La Luz Torrez, son Juan Antonio Gonzales and three sisters Maria De Los Angeles Guajardo, Maria Conception (Concha) Olvera and Maria Torres Cole.
She is survived by her lifelong companion and partner Victor Santos Cruz, daughter Ramona (Feliz) Alcala of Ralls, sons Osbaldo (Linda) Gonzales and Jerry (Mary Adella) Gonzales both of Levelland, 45 grandchildren, 11 great grans children and five great-great grandchildren.
