Maria Quevedo,74, of Levelland passed from this life on October 7,2023. Visitation was held at Krestridge Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10,2023 with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11,2023 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
She was born on June 3,1949 in Abernathy to Jose and Anita Carmichael Ybarra. Maria worked at Industrial Molding for over twenty years. She loved to watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports as well as gardening. Maria was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carlos Quevedo; sister, Hope Villarreal; grandson, Tony Jr. and great grandson, Tomas Jr.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her daughters, Anita Ovalle of Levelland and Tommie Vidales and husband, Sergio of Levelland; son, Jesse Casarez and wife, Jaime of San Angelo; brother, Joe Ybarra and wife, Mercedes of Arlington; along with fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
