Funeral services planned for Libardo Almager, 62

Libardo Almager,62, of Levelland ,formerly of Lubbock, entered the kingdom of Heaven early Sunday morning on October 12th, 2024. Funeral services will be held at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 17th, 2024 at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland, Texas. Visitation and reflection of life was held on Wednesday, October 16th from 9:00am-9:00pm.

Libardo was born on December 23rd, 1961, in Segraves, to Alvaro and Monica De La O’ Almager. He attended Levelland High School . Libardo met and fell in love with Beverly Villegas, they married on February 15th, 1995 in Sundown . He worked at Sundown Oil Company, in Sundown and Standard Oil Company in Lubbock, as a derek hand on pulling units for 38 years. Known to his family as “Blackie” he was a family man until the very end. He raised his children with unconditional love and patience. He was a man of many hobbies which included collecting coins, riding motorcycles, playing the lotto, cheering for his Dallas Cowboys, watching John Wayne westerns, reading Louie L’ Amour (Western novels) and watching George Lopez shows when he performed in Lubbock. The only thing he loved more than his hobbies was being a PoPo to his grandchildren, they were his entire world and he made sure he was there for them at every school event. His grandchildren were more precious than gold in his life and the will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Gloria Almager, brothers Luciano Almager, Lonjion Almager, Jesse Almager, Luis Almager and his sister Esperanza Varela.

He is survived by his wife , children, grandchildren and siblings. We will forever be grateful to God to have had a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend like him in all our our lives, his life was truly a life well lived.
