Funeral services set for Jesse Villanueva

In loving memory of our beloved Jesse Villanueva who passed from this life on Nov. 27, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Saturday Dec. 13 at 1 p.m. at the One Accord Fellowship Church, 6002 Ave U, in Lubbock.

Jesse was 68 years young. He was born to Jose and Natividad Villanueva on July 15,1957 in Dimmit, Texas. They moved to Levelland, Texas in the 60’s and where he graduated high school in 1976. He joined the United States Navy which he served in from 1976 to 1982. He worked for Citibank as a E.V.P. in San Antonio before moving back to Levelland, where he was working as a T.A. in middle school. He enjoyed cooking, watching his Dallas Cowboys and playing baseball with his grandson in the summer. He was very much loved and will be missed.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Natividad Villanueva; and his first wife Cynthia Yharra Villanueva.

He is survived by his current wife, Eduarda Davilla Villanueva; two sons, Christopher and Jason (Elizabeth) Villanueva; daughter, Jessica (Jesse) Sanches; and grandchildren, Gavin, Jaylen Villanueva, Jesse Jr. Jacob, James, Julian Sanches,all from San Antonio. He is also survived by his son from his second wife, John and his son and daughter, Timmy Davila, Veronica (Nicholas) Mendez; grandchildren, Angelica, Isaiah, Alyssa Rito Davila Nico, Nicobi, Kira Mendez, Derek Cervantez and Estrada family.

He is also survived by four brothers, Joe (Janie) Villanueva from Levelland, John (Lupe) Villanueva from Houston, Jerold (Debara) Villanueva from Lubbock, Jacob Villanueva from Corpus Christi; and six sisters, Linda (Pete) Puente from Levelland, Mary Esther (David) Fuentes from Levelland, Yolanda (Jean Paul) Arreguin from San Antonio, Rosa (Joe) Rodriguez from Levelland, Virginia (Martin) Garza from San Antonio, Julia Villanueva from San Antonio, and numerous nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces and lots of good friends.
