Juan Gabriel Sanchez, 53, of Levelland passed away on July 13, 2025. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Head Duarte Funeral Home in Levelland. He was born on August 17, 1971 to Joel Sanchez and Carlotta Vasquez in Rio Bravo, Mexico. Juan graduated from Levelland High School and continued his education as a car mechanic. He worked for Walmart Tires and Auto Lube Express for over 20 years and a variety of oil companies.
His hobbies included working in his yard and garden, getting dressed up in cowboy attire and going dancing. He collected all types of hats and had a big heart. He is preceded in death by two sons Omar Sanchez and Sergio Sanchez. He is survived by his parents Joel Sanchez and Carlotta Vasquez of Bakersville, Ca., son Ashpen Sancez of Levelland, daughter Alexis Sancez of Levelland, sisters Maricella (Jesus) Carrion of Sundown, Patricia Sainz of Reo Bravo, and Claudia (Steven) Webdell of Bakersville, Ca. Laticia (Ricardo) Ornelas, Lorenna (Handel) Vargas and Jeanette (Jeremy) Lopez all three of Levelland and brothers Jorge Luis Sanchez of Bakersville, Ca. , Victor (Alica) Sanchez of Levelland, Arnold (Karina) Sanchez of Lubbock, Victor (Alica) Sanchez, Osiris Sanchez, Osiel (Debbie) Sanchez and Ulisia Sanchez all four of Levelland.
