JUAN ZAPATA Juan Johnny Zapata passed from this life on February 10, in Levelland. Visitation and reflections of life will be Thursday February 15, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Head Durte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday February 15, in the Chapel.
Memorial services will be held on Friday 16, at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland. Officiation will be Deacon Frankie Ruiz and music will be by Johnny Vasquez Funeral services will be under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland. Juan Zapata was born to Casimiro and Lenora Zapata.
Johnny received his GED in Morton in his younger years. He worked for Darrel Smith Construction Company of Smyer for 40 years. He hobbies were watching the Dallas Cowboys, working with his hands and with tools. He liked having a cold beer every now and listening to a variety of music classic rock, country , and Spanish music and cooking outdoors for his family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Jonathon Zapata of Lubbock, Jeffrey Zapata of Georgia, Levi (Sariah) Zapata, Michael Franklin and Brandon Franklin all three of Levelland Daughters: Jelesa Crane of Georgia , Amber Zapata of Lubbock, and Lenora Zapata of Levelland.
