Lonnie Joe Greene departed this life peacefully on May 29, surrounded by family.
Lonnie was born in Levelland, Texas to Audie and Virgil Greene on March 6, 1949. He grew up In Levelland and there he met the love of his life Pat.
He and Pat were married on September 24, 1966 and were married for 57 Years. They had two sons, Dennis and Timmy. Lonnie lived his life for his family. He was a wonderful dad who was always there when we needed him the most, offering support and love in abundance. A friend to many and leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. We invite all who knew him to join us in remembering a truly remarkable man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audie Mae and Virgil Greene, and sister, Glenda Sue Burton. He is survived by his wife, Pat; his sons, Dennis Greene; Timmy Greene and spouse Pam; grandchildren, Joseph Greene, Jerrica Greene, J.R. Jones and wife, Kristen; Dustin Turman and wife Alex; Destiny Kohutek and husband Samuel; seven great grandchildren; Haily, David, Katelyn, Everleigh, Elias and Hadley; Sisters, Sheila Farrar and Faye Barry; Brother, Johnny Greene and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas. A service and celebration of life was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Cross and Spurs Cowboy Church, 100 W Lillian Dean, Buchanan Dam, TX. Serving as Pallbearers will be his nephews and grandchildren.
Visitation and Reflections of Life The family will receive friends at Head-Duarte Funeral Home Chapel located at 1402 Houston Street, Levelland, Texas between 11a.m. and 1 p.m., Friday, June 7.
Graveside services will immediately follow visitation. Interment will be at City of Levelland Cemetery located at 1498 Ave. H, 1400 Levelland, Texas.
