Funeral services for Dorothy Ray Bussanmas Glenn, 88 of Levelland, Texas, was held on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas. She passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 29, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Dorothy was born on March 24, 1937, in London, Texas, to Arthur and Bertha Rose (Whetzel) Bussanmas.
She graduated from Ropes High School in 1955. Over the years, Dorothy wore many hats, beginning her career as a cosmetologist and later dedicating herself to farming and homemaking. She took great pride in caring for her family and home. Dorothy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved reading, cherished her pets, and especially treasured time spent with her family. Her gentle spirit and devotion to those she loved will be remembered always.
She is survived by her three daughters, Angela Glenn of Missouri City, Texas, Andrea Cavitt and husband Steve of Ropesville, and Anita Mead and husband David of Lubbock; seven grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Weldon; and her parents, Arthur and Bertha Rose (Whetzel) Bussanmas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Khiva Shrine Patient Transportation Fund (806-373-2845) or the charity of choice.
