Maria Elena Munoz Galvan, 56, of Lubbock formally of Anton and Pharr, Tx Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 3rd, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Anton.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Ernesto Lopez.
Interment will be held in the City of Anton Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Domingo Garcia, Carlos Champion, Jesse Garza, Cory Sullivan, Juan Guzman and Luis Armando Mesa.
Funeral services are under the Direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home and Staff in Levelland.
Visitations and reflection of life will be held Wednesday and Thursday March 1, and March 2, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel.
A rosary will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel.
Maria passed from this life on February 27 in Lubbock, Tx. She was born on September 14, 1966 in Lubbock, Tx to Domingo and Yolanda Castillo Garcia. Maria Elena Munoz, was a wonderful daughter, sister, spouse and aunt. She attended high school in Pharr, Tx. She married Cipriano Galavan, on May 3, 2004 in Lubbock, Tx.
Maria Elena, enjoyed cleaning, washing dishes, gardening outside, hearing Christian music, loved to dance, cooking out doors for her family,

eating out with her sisters, shopping, going to movies, riding around with Cipriano to Amarillo to visit friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her spouse of 18 years, Cipriano Galvan of Lubbock, seven sisters; Angelica Maria Garcia, Maria Yolanda Lopez, Nancy Marie Garza and Rachael Villa Diaz all of Lubbock, Juana Garcia, Rosa Maria Garcia, and Brenda Garcia all three of Pharr, eight brothers; Juan Jesus Garza, Juan Gabriel Garcia, and Jesus Garza all three of Lubbock, Domingo Garcia Jr. and Thomas Garcia of Pharr, Tx. Andrew Garza and Johnny Torres both of Pearsall, Tx Alberto Garcia of Edinburg, Tx and a host of nieces and nephews .
