Maria Mendoza Montez, 87, passed away on May 4, 2025 in Bandara, Tx.
Services will be held on Saturday May 10 , 2025 at 10:00AM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Morton.
Maria was born to parents Narcisco ans Librada Galindo Mendoza on July 1, 1937 in Mexico. Maria Mendoza Montez, was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and grest grandmother.
She was blessed by God with eight children that she raised on her own afther the passing of her husband Mr. Montez. She was a homemaker and provider for all of her children. Her hobbies were listening to Mexican music and watching her Mexican soaps on television, she loved cooking, gardening, visiting on th phone with her sister Aurelia Alvarez and other family members. Maria, enjoyed going to dances, family gatherings during special occasions. She volunteered cleaning the church and patronage for several years. Maria was a lifetime member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Morton.
She is precceded in death by her parents; Narcisco and Librda Galindo Mendoza, former spouse; Mr. Montez, her sons; David Montez and Tommy Lopez, her sister; Aurelia Alvarez and brothers; Andres Mendoza, Reymundo Mendoza, Esequiel Mendoza, Manuel Mendoza, Alfredo Mendoza and Fidel Mendoza.
She is survived by her daughters; Julia (Rick) Reyes of Bandera and Avelina Mendoza of Morton, her sons; Rey Montez of Mertzon, Paul Montez of Kerrville, and Hector Lopez and Tommy Mendoza both of Morton and a host of neices and nephews.
