Mary Lou Shifflett, 84, of Levelland passed from this life on November 3, 2023. Visitation was held Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
She was born December 20, 1938 in Levelland to Nancy and Andrew “Red” Hagan. Mary married Coy Howard when she was 15 years old and had two children, Terri and Tim, whom she raised in Whitharral. She was the postmaster in Whitharral for many years.
Mary married Homer Shifflett on May 2, 1986 and lived in Wolfforth where she was the postmaster general for many years. During the years following, she was blessed with a wonderfully blended family with the Shiffletts.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Coy Howard; the love of her life, Homer Shifflett; son, Tim Howard; and brother, Roger Hagan.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Terri and husband Sam;daughter-in-law, Liz; daughter-inlaw, Quita and husband Harold; grandchildren, Lori and Zane, Gina, Mark and Megan, Natisha and Salvador, Kenny, Michael and Shelly, Mark and Chelsea; and great grandchildren, Jack, Colbie, Callen, June, Marissa, Izac, Noah, Maggie and Tyler, Jonah, Judah, Kate, Tanner and Kallie. Mary was passionate about her family and loved them all in every way possible.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Operation Christmas Child.
