Angelica Maria Hicks Parra, 43, of Portales, NM passed away on April 12, 2025 in Portales, NM.
She was born in Causey, NM on March 24, 1982 to parents Ignacio and Cruz Martinez Parra. Angelica Maria was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife and mother, she attended school in Dora, New Mexico a 1999 graduate and continued her education in Portales, NM at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) as a massage therapist.
She married Chad Hicks ans was blessed with two daughters from this union. Her hobbies were going for walks, going to the park, riding her bicycle, reading storybooks, talking and laughing with her daughters over the phone for hour, math was one her favorite subjects and attending classes at ENMU, enjoyed going to eat at a variety of restaurants, being a massage therapist, spending time with her family and friends. She was a lifetime member of St. Helen Catholic Church of Portales, NM.
She is preceded in death by her father Ignacio Parra and her daughter Rose Parra.
She is survived by her former spouse Chad Hicks of San Angelo, Tx; her mother, Cruz Martinez De Parra of Whiteface, Tx; her daughters, Nyeli Elizabeth Hicks and Amanda Falcon Carbajal both of Whiteface; her sisters, Norma Leticia Trina of Kansas City, Ks and Silvia Parra Martha of Whiteface; and her brother Tony Para of Albuquerque, NM.
Memorial services will be held on April 23, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Morton, Tx.
