JUANMONTES Juan Montes, 79 of Wolfforth passed away from this life May 28 in Lubbock.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday June 4, at 2 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland.
Officiating will be Deacon Jesse Moreno music will be by Joe Flores.
Interment To be announced at a later date. Rosary will be held on Tuesday June 4, at 12 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Juan Montes was born to Pedro and Ellena Salinas Montes on December 20, 1945 in Uvalde, Texas. Juan Montes, was a good son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.
He married Veronica Escandon, on October 26, 2010 in Petersburg, and they shared ten children from this union. He moved to Wolfforth from Lubbock in 2010. His hobbies were dancing, playing pool, cards, and dominos. Watching old westerns movies and The Dallas Cowboys play, go out to eat hamburgers, cruising around town and talking about the good old days. A long time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wolfforth.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Pedro and Ellena Salinas Montes his sister Jova Montes. Survivors: Spouse of 14 years: Veronica Escandon in Wolfforth Daughters: Joel Libby and Sandra Montes both of Lubbock, Sonia Arguijo of Brownfield, Renee Ray of Plainview, Elaina Montes, Angela Monte, and Michelle Montes all three of Amarillo, sons: Chris Montes of San Angelo and Pete Montes and Juan Montes both Amarillo sisters: Lupe Perez, Patricia Montes, and Alvita Montes all three of Lubbock. Brothers: Pete Montes, Rito Montes, and Jessie Montes, all three of Lubbock. Grand Children: 23 Great Grandchildren: 28 Great Great Grandchildren: two.
