Private memorial service planned for Pedro Puente, 91

Pedro Puente, 91, of Levelland passed away from this life on March 26, in Levelland.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will also be announced at a later date.

Pedro was born to Amado Puente Rodriquez and Juana Tejada Torres on April 27, 1932 in Providencia ,Mazapil, Zacatecas, Mexico.

Pedro Puente was an extraordinary son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grand father, and great great grandfather.

He moved to the United States in 1950 from Mexico and married Rita Guzman they had eight children from this union. They moved to Levelland in 1965 from Donna, Tx. Pedro, was a farm

and rancher for several years and worked for Benson’s Farms in Levelland.

His hobbies were watching The Dallas Cowboys and western movies of John Wayne, being a carpenter , dancing , had a fox as a pet, he was a Wal-Mart maintenance man, and working in the oil fields for Massengale Oil Company.

He was preceded in death by parents Amado Puente Rodriquez and Juana Tejada Torres Spouse: Rita Puente (2) Sons: Mercede Puente and Carlos Puente Survivors: Sons: Pete (Linda) Puente and Jessie Puente both of Levelland Daughters: Margarita Aceves, Hilda (Johnny) Paz, Juanita Puente, and Christina (Tony) Rodriquez all four of Levelland Grandchildren: 22 Numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren 4 Brothers.
