Memorial services for Ramiro Garza, 88, of Levelland will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at St. Michael Catholic Church.
He passed away on January 31 in Levelland.
Ramiro was born on August 20, 1934 in Starr County, Texas to Jose Escalon and Jova Garza.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jose Escalon and Jova Garza.
Ramiro is survived by his wife Juana V. Garcia of Levelland. Three daughters; MaryJane (Brian) Allen and Celia (Lupe Jr.) both of Levelland and Amy (Genaro) Cruz of Mesquite, Texas, son Ramiro Garza Jr. of Lubbock; grandchildren Abigail, Ethan, Gearito, Ximena, Marisol and one sister Victoria Robles of Corpus Christi.
Ramiro was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He married Juana V. Garcia on February 14, 1981 in Corpus Christi. They had four children from this union. He moved to Levelland from Olton, in 1999.
He was a self employed landscaper, worked for Excel Meat Market in Plainview, and Olton Feed Lot for several years. His hobbies were calling his children daily to talk about the weather and asking them how each and every family member were doing. He was a very godly man and would give the shirt off his back. A very humble man and his family was very important to him and they called him “Super Man.” Ramiro enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.
