In remembrance of Phillip McCulloch, 80

Phillip “Fud” McCulloch, born on September 30, 1944, in Levelland, Texas, went to be with our Lord on May 23, 2025, at the age of 80.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Fud is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Linda; his son Jeremy McCulloch of Lubbock, Texas, and wife Casee, along with their three children who adored their grandfather: Hanna, Kutter, and McKenzie; and his daughter Julie Wittie of Lubbock, TX, and husband Matt, with their three children who also dearly loved him: Tyler, Raegan, and Aubry. He is also survived by his brother Ronald McCulloch.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul McCulloch, and his mother, Hazel McCulloch.

Fud lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and faith. He dedicated his career to farming and served as a trusted farm equipment dealer and later as a sales representative for Smith South Plains. His integrity and commitment left a lasting mark on the agricultural community he loved.

He found joy in the simple pleasures- spending time on the water with a fishing pole in hand, a passion he lovingly passed down to his children and grandchildren. An enthusiastic sports fan, Fud cheered faithfullysometimes through frustration- for the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Texas Tech Red Raiders in both football and basketball.

Fud’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and loyalty. His strong hands built a life of purpose, and his gentle heart nurtured the family that now carries his spirit forward.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to take a loved one fishing or cheer on your favorite team in his honor.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
