ALVIN CERVANTEZ
Alvin G. Cervantez of Morton, 67, passed away on January 7, 2025 in Lubbock. Funeral services were held Saturday January 11 , 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Morton. Deacon nterment was held in the Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton. Rosary was held Friday at 6:00 P.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland.
Alvin was born to John P and Olivia Gonzalez Cervantez in Levelland, Texas on June 29, 1957. Alvin, was a wonderful son, brother, father and grandfather. He attended high school at Estacado in Lubbock. He was blessed with three children. He worked for Grey Hound as a private investigator and the City of Lubbock as a maintenance man and mechanic for the Lubbock Police Department. Alvin, also worked for United Supermarket and Walmart as a security guard for several years in Lubbock.
His hobbies were playing his harmonica and singing along with music, staying at home with his brothers, he would cook and clean and take care of his three children, he enjoyed spending precious quality time with all his family.
He is preceded in death by his three brothers: Arthur, Arnold and Adolph Cervantez.
He is survived by his mother Olivia Cervantez of Morton; father John P. Cervantez of Lubbock, daughters: Adelaieda Cervantez of Lubbock and Zena Cervantez of Amarillo, son Christian Cervantez of Morton and his sister: Adeline (Pete) Albiar of Lubbock.
