Terry Don Allen, 63, of Ropesville, was born November 12, 1959, in Lubbock, to Joe Bailey Allen, Sr. and Donnie Willora Smith-Allen.
He graduated from Ropesville High School and went on to attend South Plains College in Levelland.
Terry worked a variety of jobs, one being a horse wrangler at a resort in Colorado, where he met his wife.
He married Lydia Denise Gilson, August 4, 2000, in Levelland.
The last 20 years, Terry worked for Hockley County, most recently as a foreman for Pct 1.
He was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Ropesville.
Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and his family.
He went to his heavenly home Saturday, December 31, 2022.
His parents were there to greet him on the other side.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of 22 years, Lydia Allen; brother, Joe Allen (Connie Martin); brother by choice, Tommy Barger; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Celebration of life services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 5, at Church of the Nazarene in Ropesville, with Pastor John Donnerberg officiating.
Burial will follow at Ropesville Cemetery, under the care of Wilsons’ Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
