Levelland Original Team Roping held an event on Jan. 10 at the Mallet Event Center, with over 437 teams competing across six different divisions.
In the beginner division, Giselle Havir (Header) and Bentley Motheral (Heeler) placed first out of 20 teams with a score of 33.68 on two runs, each earning $405. Gracie Bates (Header) and Bonnar Barnes (Heeler) placed second with a score of 10.6 on one run, each earning $270.
In the #1.0 division, Eric Harrel (Header) and Dennis Warren (Heeler) placed first out 109 teams with a score of 33.92, each earning $1,120. Bryce Gill (Header) and Chris Downer (Heeler) placed second with a score of 38.39, each earning $935. Hayden Seume (Header) and Degan Barnes (Heeler) placed third with a score of 39.78, each earning $750. Troy Holdman (Header) and Braden Murph (Heeler) placed fourth with a score of 41.32, each earning $560. Hayden Seume (Header) and Chris Downer (Heeler) placed fifth with a score of 42.55, each earning $375.
In the #1.5 division, Maddy Rice (Header) and Seaver Senter (Heeler) placed first out of 130 teams with a score of 43.18, each earning $1,350. Uriel Pina (Header) and Raul Bordayo (Heeler) placed second with a score of 45.88, each earning $1,125. Gabriel Acosta (Header) and Octavio Espinoza (Heeler) placed third with a score of 55.96, each earning $900. Octavio Espinoza (Header) and Raul Bordayo (Heeler) placed fourth with a score of 59.79, each earning $675. Uriel Pina (Header) and Jett Scott (Heeler) placed fifth with a score of 61.62, each earning $450.
In the #2.0 division, Colton Walters (Header) and Caden Harrel (Heeler) placed first out of 94 teams with a score of 39.45, each earning $1,290. Andy Shakespeare (Header) and Kaden Gray (Heeler) placed second with a score of 41.87, each earning $970. David Robinson (Header) and Caden Harrel (Heeler) placed third with a score of 49.12, each earning $645. Gabriel Acosta (Header) and Juan Gallegos (Heeler) placed fourth with a score of 49.52, each earning $320.
In the #2.5 division, Dustin Sexton (Header) and Octavio Espinoza (Heeler) placed first out of 50 teams with a score of 38.93, each earning $1,035. Maddy Rice (Header) and Kip Middleton (Heeler) placed second with a score of 44.07, each earning $690. In the #3.5 slide division, Jayton Giesbrecht (Header) and Seaver Senter (Heeler) placed first out of 34 teams with a score of 34.46, each earning $705.
