Following the competition, Lady Lopes Head Track & Field Katie Turnipseed reflected on her team’s third place finish.

“Coming back after Spring Break, this was a good, hard meet that we competed well in against some great competition. I was proud of how our girls pushed themselves at every opportunity to go beyond their limits, mentally and physically,” Coach Turnipseed said. “We are seeing improvements across the board and specific areas that are continuing to grow. All are happening at the right pace to get us adjusted and ready for District in two weeks.”

The Lady Lopes will host a home meet this Thursday, which will be their final regular season meet before District on April 9-10.

The Roughettes are in the same situation, but they’ll be competing at Plains on Thursday instead.
