Sundown boys golf qualifies for State Tournament

The Sundown Roughnecks and Ropes Eagles golf teams competed at the 2A Region 1 Golf Tournament this past Monday and Tuesday at the Palo Duro Golf Course, resulting in both teams finishing top 10 and the Roughnecks qualifying for the State Tournament as a team.

SPC rodeo competes well at Howard College

The South Plains College rodeo program competed at the Howard College Rodeo this past Thursday through Saturday in Big Spring, resulting in four athletes making the short round.In the tie down roping, Jaxon Stoker placed sixth in the short round after posting a 23.9.

The Morton High School unified track & field team recently tied for first place at the Area Championships this past Wednesday at McMurry University. That qualified them for the Unified State Championships in Austin on April 25.
