The Ropes Eagles faced off against the Sudan Hornets in the Bi-District Round of the 2A Division 2 baseball playoffs this past Wednesday night at Lockney High School, resulting in the Eagles sweeping them in the best-of-three series to secure the Bi-District Championship.

The Sundown Roughettes, Ropes Lady Eagles, Smyer Lady Cats and Whiteface Lady Lopes all competed at the Girls 2A Region 1 Track & Field Championships this past Friday and Saturday at West Texas A&M University, resulting in several athletes punching their ticket to State.

The Whitharral Panthers and Anton Bulldogs competed in the Boys 1A Region 1 Track & Field Championships this past Friday and Saturday at South Plains College, resulting in the Panthers winning their fourth consecutive Regional Championship.

Bates punches ticket to State Championships
