Lobos battle against Liberty Patriots, fall in extra innings

Lobo baseball hosted the Liberty Patriots in a district matchup Tuesday that went nine innings resulting in a Lobo loss, 11-10.The Patriots secured an early lead in the top of the second inning scoring seven runs.

Loboettes blow past Lady Patriots

The Levelland Loboettes added another district win after hosting and run ruling the Liberty Lady Patriots Tuesday, 16-1.The Loboettes would wrap up the game in three innings. The Levelland bats would start the scoring party in the bottom of the first with 15 runs.

- The Whitharral Girls’ Golf Team placed second in their district golf tournament this past week. The team’s second place finish earns them a spot in the regional tournament. Also, Emberly Prowell placed third overall.

The Levelland Loboettes find themselves tied for second place in district play after dominating the Lakeview Maidens, 18-8, Tuesday in San Angelo.The Loboettes worked quickly at the plate, scoring three runs in the top of the first.

Lobos dealt district road loss against Lakeview, 4-2

The Levelland Lobos traveled to San Angelo Tuesday to take on the Lakeview Chiefs, but would fall 4-2.Lakeview would find offensive production in the bottom of the second inning, scoring three runs.The Chiefs three runs would cross on three singles, two hit batters and three defensive errors.

Rivera would allow three hits and four walks while earning eight strikeouts. The Loboettes traveled to Snyer to face off against the Lady Tigers Friday evening.
