Sundown student honored as Texas Music Scholar

On May 9, 2024, Caleb Clausen was honored as a Texas Music Scholar at the Sundown High School Spring Concert. Clausen was nominated for this award by his band director, Justin Mauldin, and the award is given by the Texas Music Educators Association, which sponsors the Texas All-State Bands, Orchestras, and Choirs.

The Levelland Fire Department continues to respond to calls regarding community members open burning within the city limits of Levelland. Citizens are reminded that open burning is a city ordinance violation of Article 5.800 Open Burning.

SPC Barber Program begins accepting Fall semester students

Starting in the 2024-25 academic year, South Plains College’s new barber certificate program will be available at the Levelland campus for prospective students wanting to enter the profession. During the two-semester program, students will learn the regulations of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and understand the theory and skills of the barber profession.
