In the eyes of the Daily News journalist, Judge Amy Strong committed a vile act when she sentenced the abortionist Jill Feeble to prison.
Madam Feeble not only performed abortions, but she also participated in the trafficking of young girls and boys into prostitution that her business partner, Dan Tubby, provided for her. The society of the day was so liberal that, in the eyes of many, trafficking and abortions were rights of citizens. Sadly, the High Court of the country recused her on the grounds of bias; they deemed her unworthy and lacking in impartiality. She withdrew from the case with a clear conscience.
Amy and her husband Tom were Christians, and he supported her. He comforted and encouraged her. They read the Bible together daily and were very active in their church. Amy felt secure in her faith in Christ and the teaching of the Written Word regarding evildoers. “Fret not thyself because of evildoers..; Trust in The Lord and do good..” {Psalms 37:1-3}.
In their quiet times, Amy felt that the Lord was asking her to take some steps regarding the trafficking dilemma. She and Tom got involved in a local association that was fighting to end the trafficking of young men and women, and young children. She was amazed at the ways that people from some Third World countries were ensnared and beguiled, to allow their children to be brought to the West. After some in-depth discussions with missionaries, they felt a deep compulsion and determination to start sponsoring the local construction of schools and homes, also providing clothing, education, and healthy meals for the children and their families.
They could not save all children, but they could save some. So, as followers of Christ, they chose to be loving neighbors even though they lived thousands of miles away and were not personally known. Husband Tom, who was involved in local politics, made every effort to inform his fellow politicians about the illegal trade in children. He designed a flyer with the information. Some were surprised that any form of slavery was going on in their very own country.
