School Board Recognition Month is held annually in January.
The theme this year, from the Texas Association of School Boards, is Locally Elected, Community Connected. During this month, we take time to express our gratitude and appreciation for the individuals who volunteer their time for our school district.
Our seven board members are the unsung heroes at Levelland ISD. They play a crucial role in shaping our educational landscape. School boards serve as the backbone of the education system. They bring diverse perspectives and expertise to the table, contributing to the decision-making processes that impact students, teachers, parents and our amazing community.
Narrowing the scope of the school board is difficult, as their efforts are never ending. Some of their key responsibilities include policy development, budget oversight, hiring leadership, local and state advocacy, and community engagement.
Our board members serve Levelland ISD without pay and for the sole purpose of helping Levelland ISD be the best district. They Expect Excellence at all times. Please join me in recognizing the following individuals for their dedication, vision, and commitment to Levelland ISD.
