City Manager Fisher lauds smart water meters

The City of Levelland is now utilizing the new “smart” water meters that allow the city to automatically and electronically read meters and solve other issues.Levelland city manager Jame Fisher said the new system should improve service and monitoring overall and provide accurate reading.

City council, LCDC set public meetings for $650K project

Producers Jacob and Railey Silhan produced the first bale of cotton in Cochran County. Silhan noted that Railey planted the cotton and also stripped the first bale. The cotton bale was produced at Willingham Southwest Cotton Gin Inc. in Morton. Gin manager is Todd Willingham and gin superintendents are Eliseo Salazar Jr. and Cantu Tarango.
